After re-installing I find that when I use Wvdial to connect to my ISP it connects fine but then disconnects again after a minute or two with something like "ppp daemon has died. Error code =1". The pon command works much better but seems to disconnect if left alone too long, though it`s fine as long as information is being transferred constantly. PPP is a loadable module, would compiling it into the kernel help? Any Ideas? Paul
