Problem with Xlib

Hi to all,

I recently upgraded from xlib6g 3.3.2.3a-11 to xlib6g 3.3.4-2 on my
debian slink system.

Before that, everything worked fine, especially the gdm graphical login.

Now I only get the grey screen of the X server, nothing more.

gdn generates this log file in /var/state/gdm/:0.log

:/usr/bin/X11/xauth: creating new authority file
/var/state/gdm/authdir/:0.xauth

As you can see, I use a commercial X server ( Sorry :-( ), but I don't

think it matters (it worked very fine before...)

Last thing, when I log on a console as root and type startx, my Window
Manager works fine...

Has my problem something to do with xauth ? with suid ? Isn't the boot
sequence considered as root when launching programs ?... Can someone
tell me what to do ?

Thanx in advance,

Franck Routier
