Crec que el problema està ací, si no tens el php3_module el tipus .php3 
no el processa. Encara que no ho he provat no crec que hi haja cap 
problema en afegir la extensió .php3 al tipus app/x-httpd-php, quedaria 
així:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3

i lleves els AddType del php3.
