Scannen nur noch als Root

Hallo Liste!
Ich habe einen HP Photosmart 4180c (Drucker und Scanner in einem). Am
Anfang konnte ich problemlos auch als User scannen. Seit ein Paar Tagen
meldet xsane wenn ich es als User Starte, dass er keinen Scanner findet.
Starte ich xsane als Root, funktioniert das Scannen. Es sieht ganz nach
einem Rechteproblem aus. Aber ich weiß nicht, wo ich ansetzen soll. Hat
jemand ne Idee? Ich verwende hier Debian SID.
