Booteo Con Lilo
Hola lista !!! tengo un problemilla con el booteo de mi Debian, por
instalar un modem a mi pc tuvieron que formatear la particion donde
tengo win95 y ahora no puedo cargar Debian con lilo, con un diskette de
arranque puedo cargarlo pero al intentar configurar el lilo tengo los
siguientes problemas:
Primero les muestro como esta particionado el disco:
/dev/hda1 win95
/dev/hda2 Dos Extended (esta particion no la puedo ver desde win95, no
se que es)
/dev/hda5 Linux Native (aqui esta instalado mi querida Debian)
/dev/hda6 Linux Swap
Cuando quiero instalar el lilo obtengo el siguiente mensaje:
"The root filesystem is installed in a logical partition. LILO can't
boot from there, so you most install lilo in one of the followin
extended partitions. Please select the partition to use"
/dev/hda2
Aqui deberia de darme opcion de seleccionar la particion de /dev/hda1
pero solo me da opcion de seleccionar la /dev/hda2, si selecciona esta
(como no tengo mas opciones) obtengo el siguiente mensaje:
"LILO wasn't able to install. you'll still be able to boot your system
if you create a boot floppy.
The most common reason for LILO to fail is an over-large root ("/")
partition. LILO is unable to load any block of the kernel from a disk
cylinder numbered higher tha 1023. this is often a problem whit disks
larger than a gigabyte (1024 MB) or so. One way to solve the problem is
to make a separate "/" and "/usr" partition, so that the entire "/"
partition will be below the 1023rd cylinder"
El disco es de 1.5 GB, la particion de Debian ocupa 500 MB y win95 1.00
GB
