configuring sendmail

I am having problems with sendmail on a debian linux system.
The linux machine (hardy) was set up while it was in the
"cms.wisc.edu" domain. I then moved it to another building
where it now is in the "math.wisc.edu" domain. I am using
another machine (a sun) as principle mail spool for the
"math.wisc.edu" domain. That is, the linux machine is mounting
/var/spool/mail from the mail server and the /etc/sendmail.cf
file has the OR line which causes all mail to be forwarded
to the server. The problem is that the linux machine still
thinks it is in the "cms.wisc.edu domain. Mail coming from
it is stamped @cms.wisc.edu. Also mail coming from the linux
machine gets lost unless we put the full email address on it.
Can anyone help me with this. I have changed all the usual
files (such as /etc/sendmail.cf, init.d) etc. but am mystified
about which configuration files on the linux machine control
how sendmail works.

Thanks for any help.
