Thank you, Jimmy, Brian, The Wanderer and Ralph. These last pointers were the
final answer. I have lift-off. Ad-blocker was running on my husband's
computer, even though it hadn't been on mine, I had just been unable to find
it. I still haven't been able to uninstall it, but I have successfully
disabled it.
I now have it running without a problem.
So that is the two Wheezy computers successfully dealt with. All I have to do
now is deal with the Jessie computer that is attached to the TV.
