Hi Ralf, I'm jre, co-maintainer of the Wine packages in Debian. In 2012 you reported a bug [1] against the Debian Wine package because you had printing issues with an application. As suggested we changed the default resolution in generic.ppd to 600 dpi. In order to keep our packaging as clean and as close to upstream as possible I will remove this patch from our packaging. The first release without this will probably be wine-development 1.9.19-1 in about a week. To make sure that everything is ok I'd like to ask you to test printing in your application with wine-development 1.9.19-1 next week. If there are issues again, I'd like you to tell us the name of the application then and file a bugreport upstream, so that the issue can be solved at its core. If you've done so, but upstream can't fix the issue in time, I will reapply your proposed workaround. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance! Greets jre
