Bug#139475: packaging of oprofile

Thanks, Susan. I'll fix the build script; it does
require a config to have been done. Which actually
leads to a question: can one make any assumptions
about the state of the kernel source tree when
providing a package? For instance, will all the
variations of oprofile modules be built for all of
various kernels available, or do I have to build
them? If the former is true, can I reasonably
assume that 'make-kpkg config' has already been
run? I haven't seen anything in the Debian
developer docs that addresses this (but maybe I
haven't looked in the right place).

Marcelo: sorry 'bout the ftp site. You are correct.
The url should have been:

   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/linux/prospect

If you could forward off the output you're getting,
perhaps I can figure this out a little easier. Thanks.

Have you built a kernel (or at least run 'make config') in the top level of
the kernel source directory from which you are building the oprofile
modules? I think that the oprofile build script needs to find .config
in that directory.
If this is the case, it would be helpful if the build script reported its
failure to find .config, and made a suggestion to run 'make config'.
