Bug#195948: Change to standard makefile?

Jesus Climent wrote:

Hi!

I have been discussing about the different target's option with Guillem Jover,
and it seems rather difficult to create a package which needs several
recompilations to obtain the different targets we want to obtain
(dspam-libdb4, dspam-pgsql, dspam-mysql and dspam-sqlite).
Hmm... it's not really that much of a problem. I have already done it with Bacula. The real problem here is providing some sort of auto-configuration for users.... for this i am awaiting bdconfig-common to be uploaded, so that we can start testing.

Is there any objection if we move to a standard makefile?
Please, elaborate on this.

Otherwise, we need a makefile expert to put some time in the package.
No problem. I can do it.
I will start putting quite some work on this as soon as i get back from my vacation.
