I had a few talks with the upstream author, and he doesn't want this
package in Debian. I've had difficulties with the legality of some of
the code, and because of this finding a sponsor has been difficult. All
this means I've long since given up on getting this package in Debian. I
though I closed this a while ago, but apparently I forgot. Oh well. It's
a lost cause.
