* URL             : http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mdm/

is a distribution derived from Debian so little work should be needed for
its oficial inclusion in Debian)

* Description : Display manager from Linux Mint

MDM is a display manager from Linux Mint (an alternative to gdm3)

" MDM is a new Display Manager, which code is based on GDM 2.20. It provides
graphical configuration tools, themeability, remote, automatic and timed
login, event scripting, language selection and it comes with more features
than any other Display Manager currently available. "

As a different package called mdm already exists in Debian, unfortunately
a change of name is needed. I suggest to contact the Linux Mint mantainer
Clement Lefebre <root@linuxmint.com> in order to agree in a common name.
