Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the lsb package.

The package description is:
The Linux Standard Base (http://www.linuxbase.org/) is a standard
core system that third-party applications written for Linux can
 depend upon.
 .
This package only includes the init-functions shell library, which
may be used by other packages' initialization scripts for console
 logging and other purposes.

Over the years, I have first tried bringing LSB support to Debian,
and later winded it down through removing most of the functionality;
which I also in a "Why I (tried to) killed the LSB" DebConf17 talk
[0] (and which should probably get to release notes too).

I have and will keep an eye on src:lsb, to tackle serious issues that
might still arise, but don't want to be a blocker if anyone wants to
work on LSB for Debian, really. (Don't mistake my intentions, I don't
think it's a worthwile goal). So… it seems that a Request for Adoption
is exactly what I'm looking for: conveying that it's up for takers,
but that I'm around for the occasional fixes, and naturally also for
handover!

Join debian-lsb@lists.debian.org if you're interested!

Cheers,
    OdyX
