Yes, Mathias and I are working on uploading Incus to unstable. You can
follow the progress here:

we're definitely close-ish now, but there are still a few things to do.

Yeah, I'd of course recommend that. Although if you really need to make
progress now, using LXD and then migrating to Incus shouldn't be hard,
both in terms of scripts/code and of existing deployments. YMMV.
