Bug#909019: lightdm-gtk-greeter: Password field resets in the middle of typing password
Package: lightdm-gtk-greeter
Version: 2.0.2-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
At the login screen users type their username, then press 'tab' to advance to the password field.
The cursor appears and keyboard input is accepted; users start to type their password and dots appear to indicate keystrokes are registered.
Mid-stream, the password field is reset, the entered characters disappear resulting in an incomplete password that fails.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Wait a couple of seconds after advancing to the password field, until after the reset occurs.
* What was the outcome of this action?
* What outcome did you expect instead?
