Hm, well [U]pdate must call dpkg --clear-avail and then dpkg --merge-avail
over /var/state/apt/lists/*Packages .. Actually I thought that was much
more complex!
I think I just did the Right Thing on methods/dselect/update - I'm not
much of a shell programmer though :>
