Med tiden vil vi fjerne de gamle udgivelsers binære pakker. For tiden er der binære pakker til lenny, etch, sarge, woody, potato, slink, hamm og bo tilgængelige, og kun kildekoden til de øvrige udgivelser.

Arkivet non-US

Tidligere var der programmer pakket til Debian som ikke kunne distribueres i USA (og andre lande) på grund af eksportbegræsninger på kryptografi og softwarepatenter. Debian vedligeholdt et særligt arkiv kaldet non-US-arkivet.

Disse pakker blev overført til hovedarkivet i Debian 3.1 og arkivet debian-non-US blev nedlagt; det er nu arkiveret, og udgør en del af arkiverne på adressen archive.debian.org.

De er stadig tilgængelige fra archive.debian.org-maskinen. Tilgængelige adgangsmetoder er:

For at anvende disse pakker med APT, skal de relevante linjer i sources.list være følgende:
