Debian in Finnish
Mailing lists
There is a Finnish Debian mailing list at <debian-fi@lists.fishpool.fi>. One can subscribe to the list in the normal majordomo fashion, by sending a mail to <debian-fi-request@lists.fishpool.fi>, with the subject
subscribe
and nothing more.
Also there is another Finnish mailing list for Finnish localization. This list is at Debian's servers, therefore you can find list's archives and (un)subscribe help at http://lists.debian.org/debian-l10n-finnish/.
Translations
- Installation instructions are available in Finnish where all the other installation manuals are (if the browser is set up correctly).
- Debian WWW page translation to Finnish is being coordinated by Tommi Vainikainen <thv+debwww@iki.fi>. If you want to come along, just send email.
- Debian-Installer is nowadays almost translated (sarge branch) and installation instructions only partially. If you want to help, please contact via debian-l10n-finnish mailing list. Any help is appreciated. Tapio Lehtonen <tale@debian.org> coordinated this for Debian releases 2.1 (slink) and 2.2 (potato).
- Debian Description Translation Project for finnish is coordinated by Tarmo Toikkanen <tarmo.toikkanen@iki.fi>.
