No.  In the US at least fonts themselves are not copyrightable.
However digitized fonts *are* copyrightable.

   Just ask the thousands of font foundries out there who see license
   to use fonts as their main revenue.

They sell digitized versions of the fonts, not the right to use the
fonts themselves.
