Heads up, glibc 2.1 coming through
For those of you who are running unstable - we are now transitioning to
glibc 2.1 (the packages were just installed and should be propagating to the
mirrors right now), so things are going to be a bit sketchy for a few days
here.
Binary compatibility should not be affected. However, you will not be able
to link c++ programs until a new libstdc++ is uploaded. Also, programs
using many other libraries (ncurses and glib in particular, but also many
others) will not link until these libraries are rebuilt.
Other than that there seem to be very few problems. There might be
unforseen issues with the 2.0 kernel, so be extra cautious there.
