However, it certainly is possible to get the source package and compile it yourself. You possibly might have to add some of the xemacs packages from debian to do this even though you aren't using it under X--I can't remember whether it was when I did emacspeak 18 or the CVS version that I had to add additional packages. anyway, if you try to compile and get errors because of something missing, that will be the reason. -- Cheryl
