Did you supply the device with the correct capacity? Due to some
obscure reason, _all_ floppies on Alpha's are detected as 2.88MB,
which will cause the default device to go wrong while formatting.
Use /dev/fd0h1440 as argument to superformat, not just /dev/fd0.
