  libncurses4 and libncurses5 aren't entirely interface-compatible; there
are some function prototype changes that could cause problems (for example,
wattr_set takes a different number of arguments), and some functions appear to
have changed behavior (for example, leaveok appears to no longer implicitly hide
the cursor)  Nothing horrendous, but the source for some packages may have to
be patched slightly to work 'out of the box' with libncurses5.
