Specifically (to the original poster), check that you have other
non-us packages available, like apache-ssl, arla, or any of the
kerberos packages.
For reference, here's what I have in my /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib non-free
Note especially the capitalization; it's debian-non-US, not
debian-non-us.
