md5sums in deb

Hi!

something more about "coupe things RedHat does well and Debian should too"

Some important debs does'nt have checksums: bash, dpkg, sysvinit, ...:

okul@mirror:~# debsums bash
Package bash did not come with checksums
okul@mirror:~# debsums dpkg
Package dpkg did not come with checksums

i can generate /var/lib/dpkg/info/*.md5sums, but why can't package
maintainers do it? how can i be sure, that md5sums, generated by myself,
are ok?
