The "Debian Manifesto" predates the "Social Contract" and has as
much claim to set forth the defining principles of Debian as the
"Social Contract" We have chosen to downplay this document by
prefacing it with:
Please note that this document is provided in order to document
Debian's history. While the general ideas still apply some details
changed.
This comment is not intended to support or oppose the General
Resolution being considered.
