Re: eliminating -source packages



Perhaps my message wasn't entirely clear. What I'm talking about is:
$ export DEBIAN_CC_FLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686"
$ apt-get upgrade-source
[...]
gcc -O2 -mcpu=i686 -o foo.o foo.c
[...]

I'm *not* trying to bring up the "why don't we optimize for i686 instead?!?"
thread - it's already been beaten to death (and I 100% agree with the
reasoning behind sticking to i386).
