I didn't know I candidated for the job :-) But sure, I'll take it!
My first task will be to include the "Standard of Console Messages" I
wrote some time ago (has been discussed and accepted on debian-devel
already) in the manual.
And there is still bug #7076 open which is about the definition of "free"
software. I'll have a look at this.
The Policy and Programmer's Manual are currently included in dpkg-dev. I'm
thinking of moving these into a new package, named `doc-debian-manuals' or
something similar, since it would simplify uploads for me (dpkg-dev is
maintained by Ian Jackson) and one could assign bug reports to the
manuals. What do you think?
Or should we put the docs into doc-debian, which is currently maintained
by Sven Rudolph?
