Copyright question: GPL patches for non-GPL packages
Hi!
I'd like to add to the debian package for gs-aladdin some
additional drives. These are distributed as patches and are ofted GPLed.
The problem is that gs-aladdin is (quite unfortunately) *not* GPLed.
The question is: is it safe to apply GPL patches to non-GPL packages?
Or would i be oblidged by the GNU license to distribute the whole
package as GPL, which is obviously impossible?
Thank you,
Marco
