RE: Lintian web pages updated
It seems it forgot about some special overrides:
1) W: ibcs2.0.33: executable-not-elf-or-script
usr/lib/x286emul/x286emul
This has to be an AOUT binary. Otherwise it wouldn't work.
2) E: ibcs2.0.33: unstripped-binary-or-object
lib/modules/2.0/misc/devtrace
E: ibcs2.0.33: unstripped-binary-or-object lib/modules/2.0/misc/iBCS
Obviously as both are modules.
3) E: sash: statically-linked-binary bin/sash
Not doing its work if compiled with shared libraries.
4) E: ntfs2.0.33: unstripped-binary-or-object lib/modules/2.0/fs/ntfs.o
See 2)
5) E: tripwire: statically-linked-binary usr/lib/tripwire/tripwire
See 3)
Also I wonder why my local lintian didn't tell me about some of the
bugs, like
E: ibcs2.0.33: unknown-control-file .
Besides this only happens on the packages using debhelper.
