Well, we should have just about 4000 or 5000 *open* bug reports.

I would not worry too much for "real" bugs that we don't know yet (i.e. I
would not extrapolate from 5000 reported bugs to 50000 "real" bugs).

I think the number of reported bugs is already a good estimate of the work
to be done (15 bugs / maintainer, more or less).
