Status of Harmony?

What is the current status of Harmony? Is it actually usable? Does
someone have instructions on how to easily keep up with something on
CVS? I tried to create a local CVS copy of just harmony on my system,
but I am completely incompetent with it, and got nowhere. The Harmony
web site didn't help much and the documentation on using CVS was also
rather confusing. Are there any HOWTOs?
If Harmony is stable enough to be used as a drop-in replacement, I think
someone should package it so we can test it out on our QT-linked
packages. I'd offer to do it myself, but like I said, I'll need help
just figuring out how to use CVS...
