Intent To Package: spruce

Spruce is a GTK email client.  It seems especially good for new users as it
handles pop polling and contacts a smarthost on its own thus avoiding the need
for new users to set up an MTA.  It feels a lot like Eudora (a Windows
mailer).

Spruce requires GTK 1.2.x
It is written by Jeffrey Stedfast and released under the GPL.

I'm not a developer yet, but will be working tonight on getting PGP working so
that I can submit a request to become one.

Glad to hear of any thoughts on this.
