Squid (suddenly) does not resolv local hostnames
I'm having a strange problem with squid. It suddenly does not resolv
local hostnames which are not in /etc/hosts.
For instance, if I try to browse www with "lynx http://www/", it says:
The requested URL could not be retrieved
-----------------------------------------------------
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www/
The following error was encountered:
Unable to determine IP address from host name for www
The dnsserver returned:
DNS Domain 'www' is invalid: Host not found (authoritative).
This means that:
The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.

But nslookup works fine :
lolo:# nslookup www
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1
Name: lolo.martelli.fremiet
Address: 192.168.1.1
Aliases: www.martelli.fremiet
And it works it I do try to access www.martelli.fremiet.
I have no dns_nameserver specified in /etc/squid.conf
I have kernel 2.2.12.
Any idea of what's going on?
