For a good _reference_, get "The C++ Programming Language", 3rd edition
by B. Stroustrup.
For a good learning book, I liked "The C++ Primer" by S. Lipman. It
has a new edition (which I haven't seen). There's another book (which
looks crappy) called "The C++ Primer Plus" or similar -- avoid.
