I would like to ask everyone once more to please test the base-passwd package that is currently in experimental. It reinstates update-passwd which will automatically update accounts and groups in the 0-99 range. The current package will not update your passwd and group files automatically, it will only tell you what it would do. I will upload a package which will update those files next week, so it's in your own interest to help me test this on as many machines as possible..
