Tecra 8100 woes, cont.
Hi all,
Little bit of an update on the Tecra 8100/pcmcia problems. The machine
was issued to me with a Xircom RealPort 10/100 card in it, and I
couldn't get it to work. I tried a Xircom RealPort 10/100+56k modem that
I had in another laptop, and it worked perfectly fine, so I thought I
had a bad card on my hands. A coworker gave me another Realport (without
the modem) and it failed to work too under sid. I tested the card under
Win2k (it has to dual boot), and it worked fine.
In any case, the card is good, the slot is good. Could it be a kernel
issue? Should I back off to 2.4.16?
Thanks,
