I don't know clam but i'm sure that it's possible to update virus
definition with a local hook. Make small script in
config/chroot_local-hooks/clam.sh  with just these 2 lines :

#!/bin/sh
freshclam

Don't forget the chmod +x on the script.

And if I'm successful to make it, how do I make it available for other to test on their machine and perhaps incorporated into the official Debian live?
