Re: repast / swarm

Both are agent-based simulation toolkits. I'm not sure which category that fits under but in general they are discrete-time (or discrete- event) simulators, typically stochastic. Agent-based is more a modeling methodology versus a simulation technology.

The recent issue of Nature has a couple commentaries on using agent- based modeling for economics and epidemiology. Here is an article by my surgeon colleague about using agent-based for modeling acute inflammation.

Count me in ! though I do not know those packages. I just happen to
start working in a different area than just pure DICOM world :)

BTW, in which of our categorie might these packages fit best?

Kind regards
