Long-standing niggle:
Updater's report in Panel (Kubuntu 15.04 and 15.10) unrealistic.
Red-shield notification of update required persists long after
successful update.
Number and nature of required updates wildly inaccurate.
Progress report never gets beyond 30%, indicating incomplete
process, yet task completes successfully.
This may also be the case in other OSes. It has persisted through
Debian's up?grade to Jessie, and likely will through 16.04 LTS unless
given serious work! This puts a serious blight on otherwise-professional
presentation cross-platform.
