ia32 == Intel(ish) 386 or higher.  AXP is a synonym of Alpha.

Ya know, I'll bet this isn't unusual.  You have XDM starting at boot, 
yesno?  It's just that before X really starts, this (naturally) times-
out, and is logged to console -- vty7.
