Thanks but I won't have time to try it before next year ;-(
I will bo offline till 5th, jan. 1998.

I'm currently building a new kernel with more options enabled but it takes a
lot of time to compile on a single SparcClassic ;-((

Attached to this mail is the diff with your 2.0.35 setup.

BTW, I would need explanation about some of the kernel options:

1. Is the sound subsystem working for sparc ? Is it wise to include it as
modules in the kernel package ?

2. Same as above for parallel port (BPP) ?

3. Should MD devices be compiled in the kernel or in modules ?
   (CONFIG_MD_LINEAR, CONFIG_MD_STRIPED, CONFIG_MD_MIRRORING, CONFIG_MD_RAID5)

4. For my setup I disabled large windows (CONFIG_SKB_LARGE) but I don't know if I
should enable it. Any advice ?

5. Do we need to include all SCSI low level drivers or just the SUN/ESP in the
kernel ? I don't know of a workstation using QLOGICPTI driver but it could
be required for someone to boot his workstation.

6. Moreover, should "Probe multiple luns" be enabled or disabled ?

7. Network devices: is it worth enabling all of them in the kernel ?
   (CONFIG_HAPPYMEAL, CONFIG_SUNQE, CONFIG_SUNBIGMAC, CONFIG_MYRI_SBUS)

Thanks in advance.
