I use socks5 to get around this; works quite well. ICQ doesn't work
very well with socks4, which we did have for Debian. socks5 was packaged
by Adrian Bridgett, but the packages were withdrawn due to licensing
problems.

Without incoming connections, you can't do live talk or file transfer,
so it's nice to have.
