Brad, thanks very much for such a specific set of steps.
Unforunately, I went through them, and they didn't seem to make a
difference. After doing the steps, and hitting Install, I am still
greated with a huge list of packages to be removed, and at the bottom
an ominous message making me type a really long "okay" <grin> because
I am about to do something REALLY bad.
Needless to say, I do not type the really long phrase, and instead
abort out.
Do you have any other suggestions, short of reinstalling (which I am
tempted to do)?
