[taw1@nic.fi: Bug#71091: Aptitude: unable to install packages from local mirror]

This bug has completely confused me. The error appears to occur in the
bowels of libapt; however, apt-get has no such problem. I've carefully compared
the code apt-get uses to install packages to my own and can't see any
difference that should cause this.

I hope that someone on this list will have more of a clue than me.

   Thanks,
  Daniel

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.0.7.1-2

Aptitude is unable to install packages from local disk mirror. All it
says is following:

E: Internal Error, Pathname to install is not absolute 'libgc5_1%3a5.0.alpha4-8_i386.deb'
Ack! Something bad happened while installing packages. Trying to recover:
Press return to continue.

apt 0.3.19 works ok on same system. System is debian 2.2, only
aptitude is from woody.
