*ahem* I have lived in the UK for the last 21-and-a-bit years. Or does
that not count? Sure, it's better to have a CD for most things on crap
dialup, but even on crappy dialup, I've installed the odd small
package. Free services are on the increase here too.
 
I still don't think you've provide evidence that "the vast majority"
of users use CD. I'm not sure you've even shown that a majority do.
