The same thing that sending a letter within an envelope instead of on a
postcard. A reduction of the stigma surrounding envelopes. In this case,
it is digital. I sign all my messages from RPGLink.com not because they are
important, but because they aren't. In fact, if I could, I would also
encrypt as many as I could for the same reason. If all my mail is encrypted
then none stand out as "important" and "special" for anyone who may or may
not be watching.
