In "Sonic MyDVD" software, you click the image button or pull down the File
menu
and start a "New Job" called "Global Image or other Image". You don't "just
download"
to a blank CD.
You should be able to see text files with "Windows File Explorer" but Linux
programs
do not execute in a plain Windows environment. Is that what you mean by "open?"
If this is what you want to do ... you need the "Cygwin" stuff ... google
for it. Maybe
WinGNU would be more like what you want.
and It keeps on telling me that I have to insert some CD with the file
RNENG.msi,
You're in Windows. This means your file associations associate ".iso"
with Sonic CD burning software and there is something wrong with
that software. I guess you have an MSI cd burner or somesuch.
and it keeps on trying to open it with the sonic CD burning software.
What am I doing wrong. . .?
ps. This was the exact error message displayed: " The feature you are
trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not
available. Insert the 'sonic RecordNow!' disk and click ok."
I recommend reading the instructions and doing what it says. This is very
powerful.
I do it myself.

I don't see any hint that you are using "packet-writing" software ... but if
you did that's wrong. My personal advice - don't do it until the (CD)
"Mt Rainier" standard is supported by your operating system directly - either
Linux or Windows.

I have seen this but haven't tried it. I suggest taking your iso image to a
friend
who has the CD-DVD stuff working. For what it's worth, the "Sonic MyDVD"
CD burning application "RecordNowDX 4.60" burns the Debian iso's fine but
the "Solarus 10" iso won't burn - but the Solaris companion disk is OK.
Go figure!
