I totally agree with this. Improved "intelligent" tools should be
graphic and
*highly* interactive, not "automatic". I always thought that the shell
and
Perl (etc) were for automation.
For a good example of helpful software that's smarter than you are,
please
see: Win95, all new MS applications, and the wonderful Win
plug-and-play.
