Benchamrks have been done. They
are on http://www.kyoto.wide.ad.jp/mta/eval1/
It compares bulk_mailer-1.11 with sendmail-8.9.3, exim-2.053 
postfix beta-19990122-pl01, qmail-1.03, sendmail-8.9.3, Smail-3.2.0.101,
SMTPfeed-0.95 with sendmail-8.9.3+3.2W, zmailer-2.99.50s11 

The only problem is that it's all in Japanese :-) You can
anyway see the images, and it seems Postfix behaves better the the others.
